In an effort to highlight more plant biologists from underrepresented backgrounds, we would like to invite folks to nominate a scientist to be highlighted each month. This initiative is being led by the ASPB Early Career Plant Scientists Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Subcommittee. By showcasing these scientists and their achievements, we hope to make these groups more visible and appreciate their invaluable contributions to our discipline. Nominations are accepted below and are welcome from folks at all professional levels.
INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING A NEW PLANT SCIENTIST HIGHLIGHT?
Articles should include
- Scientist Name
- Scientist’s DOB and location of birth (other notes about family)
- Education (what did they study and/or what did their research focus on)
- Any fellowships received early in their career
- Any interesting notes about the early portion of their career
- Faculty/professional appointments (location and date)
- Any awards won as a professional
- Career awards
- Major Impacts in the field of botany/plant biology
- A photo to go with the article
References can be attached to the bottom of the submission
