Plantae Community Migration

ASPB is in the process of moving the Plantae community to a new platform so that we may better serve you and your needs.

Our current community site https://community.plantae.org/ will be replaced at the end of May by a new and improved community site at https://plantae.org/community/   This new site can be more easily customized to grow over time and so better serves the unique needs of our community members. It is also more affordable to maintain.

We are migrating some of the threads and networks that have been active over the past two years into the new community site; however, dormant materials and discussions on the current site will be archived before it is deactivated. If you have information or resources stored on the current site that you would like to keep, please save it on your own device or move it to the new community site. Here is a tutorial to show you how to navigate to the information in your user profile and download conversation transcripts.

Many articles and interviews that were originally posted on the community site have already been moved to the Plantae blog. https://plantae.org/. Our experience has shown that showcasing materials here will allow easier curation, searchability, and more exposure for those who have created content.

The new community site will focus on conversations and collaborations. We hope that our new community platform will be a vibrant place for you to connect, share opportunities, generate ideas, and create with others in the digital plant science ecosystem. If you have made an account on this site it will not be automatically transferred. We encourage you to make an account on https://plantae.org/community/ browse the site and let us know if you have any feedback.

Plantae is and always has been supported by ASPB as a space in which all members of the global plant science community may share information and ideas and interact with each other. If you are a Plantae user and would like to help ASPB continue to support Plantae, please consider making a donation or joining the society as a member.

We are very excited about Plantae’s upcoming transition, and we look forward to seeing you again on the new site. If you have any questions please let us know by commenting here or by emailing me at krogers@aspb.org.
