Brief Bio: After I acquired my Diploma in Biochemistry from the Freie Universität Berlin, I worked on my PhD-thesis in the group `Biochemistry of Plants´ of Prof. Tina Romeis, Freie Universität Berlin. Upon graduation, I started as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Dr. Saijaliisa Kangasjärvi at the University of Turku, Finland. From 2015-2018 I was Academy of Finland postdoctoral researcher at the University of Turku. I am fascinated by the intricacy of signal transduction pathways and the crucial importance they have for the stress perception and stress adaptation of plants.
