Non-scientific Interests: Gardening, chess, hiking

Brief bio: I grew up in the Himalayan country Bhutan. My appreciation and respect for plants were instilled in me by my mother and my late father. The impacts of improved crops and food security is thus a topic close to home. I am grateful to be studying plant science, given that my parents never had the opportunity for formal education.
