Brief bio: I joined Prof. Jixing Xia’s lab at the Institute of College of Life Science and Technology, Guangxi University to start my Master’s and Doctor’s degrees study in 2015. The main research direction of the group is molecular mechanism of formation and functional characteristics of Casparian Strip in rice. My project focused on investigating how three OsMYB36s transcription factors cooperatively regulate Casparian Strip formation at the root endodermis. And the result of the study showed that OsMYB36a/b/c redundantly regulate multiple genes implicated in Casparian strip formation at the endodermis of the roots for selective uptake of mineral elements in rice. This is an interesting research experience that has enriched my life and left a deep impression on me.

个人简介2015年有幸加入广西大学生命科学与技术学院夏继星课题组攻读硕士学位和博士学位。我们课题组主要研究方向是水稻根凯氏带的形成和功能。我的课题主要是探究3个OsMYB36s转录因子如何共同调控水稻根内皮层凯氏带的形成。我们发现OsMYB36a/b/c冗余调控水稻根内皮层凯氏带形成过程中的多个基因,从而实现对矿质元素的选择性吸收。这是一段非常有趣的科研经历,给我留下了深刻的印象。
