Yi-Xuan Fu: Plant Physiology First Author

Yi-Xuan Fu, first author of “In Vivo Diagnostics of Abiotic Plant Stress Responses Via In Situ Real-Time Fluorescence Imaging”

Current Position: MS student in the Key Laboratory of Pesticide & Chemical Biology of Ministry of Education, College of Chemistry, Central China Normal University, China.

Education: MS in Biochemistry and Plant Protection at the College of Chemistry, Central China Normal University. BS in Applied Chemistry at Northeast Agricultural University.

Non-scientific Interests: Skiing and watching movies.

Brief bio sketch: I’m interested in biosensing and bioimaging of particular enzyme in vivo. During my MS, I focused on using fluorescent probes to understand the internal relationship between the abiotic stress and specific enzyme activity. We have identified that abiotic stresses can affect 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) activity in plants, and there is a close correlation among abiotic stress, ROS and HPPD activity. I hope to advance these findings in this field.
