Brief bio: I joined Prof. Jinsong Zhang’s lab in 2014 to study ethylene signaling regulation and ethylene-auxin crosstalk in rice, and got my Ph.D. in 2020. Since then, I have continued the above researches as a postdoc. In this study, an important gene MHZ10/OsTAR2 in the auxin biosynthesis pathway was identified by analyzing ethylene response mutants of rice. Through the study of its expression, it was found that some Aux/IAAs could regulate the activity of OsEIL1 regulation on MHZ10 by interacting with OsEIL1 for root auxin biosynthesis in a positive feedback manner. It is hoped that the above new discoveries in ethylene-auxin crosstalk will arouse the interests of researchers.
