Brief Bio: My interest in molecular biology began in my undergraduate when a course on plant molecular biology inspired me to become curious about how plants respond and adapt to extreme external environments. Since then, I started my MS and PhD studies in Prof. Xiaoli Sun’s lab, and under the guidance of Prof. Mingzhe Sun. I conducted research regarding the molecular mechanisms of miRNAs-mediated cold stress response in rice. I found that miR535 negatively regulated cold tolerance, while miR408 and miR1320 positively regulated cold tolerance in rice. In details, miR1320 enhances rice cold tolerance by targeting and cleaving an ERF transcription factor OsERF096 and thus activating JA-mediated cold stress signaling pathway. Currently, I am working on the cold stress response mediated by long-stranded non-coding RNAs in rice, and I expect to establish a more complete molecular network of ceRNA-mediated cold stress response in rice. I believe that my research will provide new targets and ideas for cultivating cold-tolerant rice by applying molecular breeding methods in the future.

个人简介:

我对分子生物学的兴趣始于我的本科阶段,植物分子生物学课程启发了我,开始对植物如何响应和适应外界极端环境感到好奇。此后我在作物逆境分子生物学实验室攻读硕士和博士学位,在孙晓丽和孙明哲教授的指导下开展了miRNA调控水稻冷胁迫应答分子机制研究,期间鉴定到负调控耐冷性的miR535,正调控水稻耐冷性的miR408miR1320。其中miR1320通过靶向降解OsERF096进而激活JA介导的CBF信号通路来增强水稻耐冷性。目前,我的研究兴趣集中在长链非编码RNA调控水稻耐冷性的分子机制,期望建立较为完善的ceRNA介导的水稻冷胁迫应答分子网络,为今后利用分子育种手段培育耐冷水稻心中提供新靶标和新思路。
