Xianglan Wang: Plant Physiology First Author

Xianglan Wang, co-first author of “Characterization of regulatory modules controlling leaf angle in maize”

Current Position: professor at College of Agriculture, Shandong Agricultural University, China

Education: Key Laboratory of Plant Molecular Physiology, Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Ph. D & Master)

College of Life Science, Linyi University (Bachelor)

Non-scientific Interests: running

Brief bio: In 2017, I graduated from Institute of Botany and got a job in College of Agriculture, Shandong Agricultural University. I honored to cooperate with Professor Pinghua Li to do my research. Maize, acting as a key crop, is our main research materials. We expect the combination of methods from molecular biology, cell biology, functional biology and bioinformatics will help to understand the regulation mechanisms of ligule development, facilitate the screening of the key genes that control the leaf angle, and provide useful information and candidate genes for maize breeding.
