Non-scientific Interests: jogging, surfing, arts, books and music

Brief bio: Plants rely on a plethora of strategies to fend off pathogen attack. My passion since my PhD and earlier postdoc work has been to understand and discover novel pathways and genes involved in plant immunity. This background in plant defense responses lead me to the Noble Research Institute where I have been working with ways to generate durable disease resistance in plants.
