Non-scientific Interests: sports, specifically cycle racing (road, cyclocross, track), football (Norwich City FC) and Rugby (Wales!). Effective strategies to successfully bring up two children under 3!
Brief bio: I conducted research in plant cell and molecular biology in Nottingham (PhD), Bloomington, Indiana (PDRA) and Liverpool (PI) before transitioning to be the Coordinator of the BBSRC-funded GARNet research network. I have roles within international community-focused organisations including as Science Communication officer of the Cost Action INDEPTH (https://www.brookes.ac.uk/indepth/), as Coordinator of the Multinational Arabidopsis Steering Committee (MASC) and as Chairperson of the UK Plant Science Federation (UKPSF)
