Brief bio: I received my bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Henan Polytechnic University in 2014. Since I have great curiosity and interest in life science, I joined Prof. Jixing Xia’s lab at the College of Life Science and Technology, Guangxi University to start my study of Master’s and Doctor’s degrees from 2015. My research mainly focused on the molecular mechanism of the Casparian strip (CS) formation in rice roots and the role of CS in controlling mineral element uptake. My study showed that rice CS has a distinct role in selective uptake of mineral elements in roots through functional analysis of OsCASP1 (Casparian strip domain protein 1). My work enhanced our understanding of CS role in mineral element uptake in rice. Currently, I’m continuing to study the function of CS in rice in collaboration with the group of Prof. Jian Feng Ma at Okayama University, Japan and hope to have more novel discoveries in future.

个人简介:2014年在河南理工大学生物技术专业获得学士学位后,我对生命科学仍旧有着很大的好奇心和兴趣,于2015年有幸加入广西大学生命科学与技术学院夏继星课题组攻读硕士学位和博士学位。我的研究主要围绕水稻凯氏带形成的分子机制以及凯氏带在控制水稻根对矿质元素吸收方面的作用。通过对凯氏带结构域蛋白OsCASP1的功能分析,我的研究表明水稻凯氏带对根的矿质元素的选择性吸收有着显著的作用。我的工作加深了我们对凯氏带在水稻矿质元素吸收中的角色的理解。目前,我与日本冈山大学马建锋课题组合作继续研究水稻凯氏带的功能,希望以后能有更多新的发现。
