Brief bio: I always feel it is a super cool thing to make original discovery about the our world, especially when this discovery has the potential to influence or change our understanding about how nature works. Therefore, after I got my bachelor degree, I joined the research group of professor Daye Sun and professor Wenqiang Tang with great enthusiasm for scientific research, and engaged in the work related to plant heat shock signal transduction. My study showed that in addition to the well-known HSFA1 family proteins, RVE4 and RVE8, the core oscillator components of plant circadian clock, also play important roles in regulating the first wave of heat shock regulated gene expression. My work not only provided important insight into the mechanism by which circadian clock regulated plants’ adaptation to the heat stress temperature during the day, but also broadened our understanding of how heat shock regulate gene expression to increase plant thermotolerance. I am scheduled to defend my Ph.D degree around Dec. 2019, and I am looking for a postdoctoral position. I hope I can continue to stay in academia and engage in scientific researches in the future.
