Guo-Zhang Wu, first author of GUN control in retrograde signaling: How GENOMES UNCOUPLED proteins adjust nuclear gene expression to plastid biogenesis

Brief bio: I worked on chloroplast retrograde signaling in Prof. Dr. Ralph Bock’s lab from Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology. During my postdoc research, we demonstrated that GUN1, the central node of chloroplast retrograde signaling, interacts with cpHSC70 and regulates chloroplast protein import under stress conditions. We further identified HSP90 as the cytosolic transducer of chloroplast retrograde signals. I established my lab at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and continue my research in Shanghai.

个人研究简介：我之前在德国马普分子植物生理研究所Ralph Bock教授课题组从事博士后研究。博士后期间的主要工作阐明了叶绿体逆向信号的中心调控子GUN1通过和叶绿体蛋白内运复合体的分子伴侣亚基cpHSC70相互作用，从而调节了逆境下叶绿体蛋白的内运。我们进一步鉴定了叶绿体逆向信号传递中的细胞质关键因子HSP90，阐明了其在逆向信号传递中的重要作用。目前，我已在上海交通大学成立了自己的课题组，继续我的研究工作。
