Recognizing Plant Cell authors: Fu-Yu Hung

Fu-Yu Hung, first author of Arabidopsis histone demethylase JMJ28 regulates CONSTANS by interacting with FBH transcription factors

Current Position: Visiting Researcher of Cell Function Research Team in RIKEN, Japan/ Postdoctoral Scientist of Institute of Plant Biology, National Taiwan University, Taiwan (ROC)

Education: Ph.D. of Institute of Plant Biology, National Taiwan University, Taiwan (ROC)

Non-scientific Interests: Cello, photography and reading

Brief bio: I earned my Ph.D. under supervision of Prof. Keqiang Wu at the National Taiwan University, Institute of Plant Biology (IPB). In addition, I was also a member of the Prof. Yuhai Cui’s lab in Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) in London City of Canada. Now I’m a member of Prof. Keiko Sugimoto’s Cell Function Research Team at RIKEN, Japan. My main research interests are largely direct towards understanding how plant phenotypic changes affected by the epigenetic signals, especially histone acetylation, methylation and long noncoding RNAs. Hope we can uncover more underlying functions of the epigenetic signals in plant development pathways in the future.
