Brief biography:

I have been committed to the research of plant abiotic stress physiology and molecular biology, since I joined in the team of Professor Jin Xu at the College of Horticulture, Shanxi Agricultural University in 2016. The area of my research is plant physiology and molecular biology of plant responses to abiotic stresses, such as heavy metal toxicity and micronutrition deficiency. The research results were published in Plant Physiology (first author), Plant Cell & Physiology (co-first author), Environmental Science & Technology (first author) and Environmental Science: Nano (first author). In this study, we first revealed that Mg toxicity inhibited primary root growth by inducing cell death in the root tips of Arabidopsis. We then determined that XIPOTL1 (XPL1) is involved in Mg toxicity-mediated cell death in root tips. Subsequently, we found that the transcription factor NAC32 modulates XPL1 expression, whereby regulating Mg toxicity tolerance in Arabidopsis. Overall, we propose a novel model of the Mg toxicity response involving a link between XPL1 and Mg toxicity-mediated cell death in root tips. These findings provide an important basis for understanding the molecular regulatory mechanisms of plant response to Mg toxicity.

2016年进入山西农业大学园艺学院徐进教授团队以来,我一直致力于植物营养与逆境生物学研究。主要开展逆境胁迫响应关键基因NAC32功能分析,以及金属纳米材料介导植物响应逆境胁迫的生理与分子机理研究工作。研究结果分别发表于Plant Physiology (第一)、Plant Cell & Physiology (共一排第一)、Environmental Science & Technology (第一)和Environmental Science: Nano (第一)。本研究中我们发现,Mg毒害诱导根尖细胞死亡,从而抑制主根生长。进而发现NAC32-XPL1模块参与调控植物Mg毒害响应。这些发现为我们理解植物响应Mg毒害的分子调控机制提供了新见解。
