Brief bio:

During my Ph.D. studies under Prof. Li-Qun Chen at China Agricultural University, I focused on the molecular mechanisms of molecular chaperone proteins regulating reproductive development and heat stress response in Arabidopsis. Our studies have shown that ERdj3B, a component of the SDF2-ERdj3B-BiP complex localized in endoplasmic reticulum, regulated ovule development and heat stress response by coordinating with ERECTA-family receptor kinases. ERdj3B influences ovule development by regulating the protein translocation of ERECTA-family receptor kinases, while ERdj3B coordinates the ERECTA signaling to participate in ovule development under heat stress. Furthermore, SDF2, the other component of the SDF2-ERdj3B-BiP complex, also exhibits a similar function to ERdj3B. Our study identified a novel function of the SDF2-ERdj3B-BiP complex in ovule development and a novel mechanism for regulating the functional localization of ERECTA-family receptor kinases.

在中国农业大学跟随陈立群教授攻读博士研究生期间主要从事分子伴侣蛋白调节拟南芥生殖发育和热胁迫反应的分子机制的研究。我们的研究表明,内质网定位的SDF2-ERdj3B-BiP分子伴侣复合体成员ERdj3B协同ERECTA家族受体激酶调节胚珠发育和热胁迫反应。ERdj3B通过控制ERECTA家族蛋白在质膜上的功能定位来调控胚珠发育,同时ERdj3B与ERECTA协同参与热胁迫条件下的胚珠发育。此外,分子伴侣复合体SDF2-ERdj3B-BiP的另一个成员SDF2也表现出类似于ERdj3B的功能。我们的研究发现了分子伴侣复合体SDF2-ERdj3B-BiP在胚珠发育中的新功能和调控ERECTA家族受体激酶的功能定位的新机制。
