Brief bio: I joined the School of Agriculture and Biology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2016 and studied under the guidance of Professor Kaijing Zuo. During this period, we focused on the crosstalk between BR- and N-signaling pathways in the regulation of root growth. We found that CML38 interacts with PEPR2, and they negatively regulated root development in Arabidopsis in response to low nitrate. CML38 and PEPR2 regulated the common downstream genes related to BR signaling, and they had positive roles in BR signaling. Moreover, CML38 and PEPR2 played crucial roles in the BR signaling pathway promoted by LN. We will further study the crosstalk between nitrate uptake and hormones.
