Brief bio: I carried out my PhD in the major of Crop Genetics and Breeding (College of Agriculture, Nanjing Agricultural University) supervised by Prof. Jianmin Wan. There I mainly focused on the cloning and functional research of OsPEX5 (regulates the rice spikelet development), and mastered important molecular biology experimental techniques. Currently, I am a postdoctoral at the State Key Laboratory for Biology of Plant Diseases and Insect Pests (Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences) researching on molecular mechanism of R proteins and E3 ubiquitin ligases in plant immunity under the supervision of Dr. Yuese Ning. Our group focuses on rice-Magnaporthe oryzae interactions to provide a theoretical basis for proposing new rice blast prevention strategies and cultivating disease resistant varieties.
