Brief bio: I am a crop physiologist with a focus on photosynthetic improvement in rice. My final goal is to understand the comprehensive genetic network controlling photosynthesis and activating physiological breeding for achieving the “Second Green Revolution”. My major research subject is the genetic and physiological analysis of natural genetic resources in rice. I also have a strong interest in the evolution of C4 photosynthesis as a guide for enhancing rice photosynthesis. This Flaveria research published in Plant Physiology resulted from my visit to the R.F. Sage laboratory at the University of Toronto in 2017.
