Brief bio: My name is Zhifeng Wang, born in the northeast of China, which is a major forestry area for wood production in China. Wood is an important part of people’s life and has been used for pulping and papermaking, construction, furniture manufacturing and a potential feedstock for renewable energy and biomaterials. Because I am interested in tree molecular biology, I entered the State Key Laboratory of Tree Genetics and Breeding in Northeast Forestry University for my master and Ph.D. degrees. My master thesis focused on the effect of protein glycosylation on the synthesis of secondary cell walls in Populus simonii x Populus nigra. For my Ph.D. degree program, I was fortunate to join the research group under the supervision of Professor Vincent L. Chiang and Professor Wei Li to carry out research on molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation of wood formation. I am very interested in the current field of research and will continue to engage in research in this direction after my Ph.D., and looking forward to more novel discoveries and contributions to the research field in the future.

个人简介:
我是王志凤,出生在中国的东北部,这里是中国林业的主产区。木材是制浆造纸、家具制作和生物质能源的重要原材料,是人们生产生活的重要组成部分。出于对林木分子生物学的兴趣,硕士和博士均就读于东北林业大学林木遗传育种国家重点实验室。硕士阶段的主要研究方向为蛋白质糖基化对小黑杨次生细胞壁合成的影响。在博士阶段,我有幸加入到姜立泉教授和李伟教授课题组,开展关于木材形成转录调控的分子机理研究。我对目前的研究领域充满兴趣,博士毕业后将继续从事这一方向的研究,期待将来有可以更多新颖的发现和对研究领域的贡献。
