Brief bio: I worked for a short period in Institute of Botany, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, after receiving my PH.D. from Wuhan University. Then I joined the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Crop Genetics and Physiology in Yangzhou University. My research mainly focuses on revealing the functions of rice microRNAs, especially these associated with the potentially excellent agronomy traits. By means of overexpression and STTM (Short tandem target mimic), we have already got dozens of transgenic lines with ectopic expression of these microRNAs. We expect our works could not only help reveal the molecular mechanisms of these microRNAs, but also help provide some available materials for agricultural application.
