Recognizing Plant Physiology authors: Csaba Papdi

Csaba Papdi, co-first author of ErbB-3 BINDING PROTEIN 1 Regulates Translation and Counteracts RETINOBLASTOMA RELATED to Maintain the Root Meristem

Current Position: Postdoctoral researcher at IBMP, Institut de biologie moléculaire des plantes du CNRS, Strasbourg, France

Education: PhD in plant molecular biology, University of Szeged, Hungary

Non-scientific Interests: traveling, music, movies

Brief biography: During my PhD, I carried out large-scale genetic screens based on phenotypical analysis of transgenic Arabidopsis plants in the Biological Research Centre, Hungary. Later, as a postdoc, I worked on the molecular and functional characterisation of our newly identified transcription factors regulating plant growth and development related to stress responses. In the Royal Holloway, University of London I focused on a plethora of research topics around the Target of Rapamycin signalling regulating growth and development through the RBR/E2F regulatory hub. In the Institute of Plant Molecular Biology, Strasbourg, my main topic is Target of Rapamycin pathway and mRNA translation.
