Shouyang Liu first author of Importance of the description of light interception in crop growth models

Since the start of my Phd in INRAE-CAPTE from 2013 and then post-doc in INRAE-LEPSE from 2017, I has been working with Professor Fred Baret and Professor Pierre Martre on crop phenotyping. I has now joined the PheniX lab in Nanjing Agricultural University and continues my research interests on this domain. This work proposed a physics-based canopy light interception model for wheat crop. Compared with the state of art light interception models imbedded in crop growth models, It allows considering the influence of leaf inclination and illumination conditions on canopy light interception, thereby providing better simulation accuracy for light interception and biomass production. Based on this model, we are developing algorithm to high-throughput phenotype radiation use efficiency under field conditions for wheat crops.

简历:博士和博士后阶段,在法国农科院跟随Fred Baret教授和Pierre Martre教授从事作物表型监测和模拟研究。现已加入南京农业大学PheniX实验室,继续从事作物表型相关研究。PheniX实验室主要围绕稻、麦等作物的关键结构和功能性状,研发田间高通量表型监测系统,探索各关键表型性状的基因-环境互作响应机理,从而改进作物三维功能结构模型,提高基于基因型的作物表型模拟和预测能力,进而优化作物栽培管理和提高作物育种效率。本工作提出了一种基于光传输物理机理的小麦冠层光截获计算模型,能够考虑叶倾角和光照条件对光截获的影响,提高了小麦生长模型对光截获和生物量的模拟精度。基于此模型,我们将研发大田条件下光截获效率等功能性状的高通量表型算法。感谢您的关注!
