Brief bio: It is lucky for me to study Bioinformatics during university. At graduate stage, I followed my tutor Prof. Lingling Chen to study Biochemistry and molecular biology. It’s deepened my understanding of the bioinformatics in biological research under the guidance of Dijun Chen. I participated in the project of rice heterosis at the perspective of genome, transcriptome and methylome, and we revealed the complementary effect of two parents’ genetic in hybrids. It was interesting that most of the methylation sites were inherited from the parents in hybrids, which showed additive effect in most sites. Most important, we found that parental variation in CHG methylation is associated with allelic-specific expression in elite hybrid rice.

个人研究简介:
大学期间有幸学习生物信息学专业,研究生阶段跟随导师陈玲玲教授从事生物化学与分子生物学的学习和研究工作,在陈迪俊的带领下加深了生物信息学在生物学研究中的价值认知。博士及博士后期间开始从基因组、转录组、甲基化组角度对水稻杂种优势展开分析研究,揭示了两亲本遗传物质在杂种中的互补效应以及杂种中亲本来源的等位基因特异性表达。通过对杂种甲基化组的研究,我们发现亲本CHG甲基化的变异与杂种中的等位基因特异性表达有关。
