Brief bio: I earned my BSc under supervision of Prof. Nguyen Phuong Thao at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. During undergraduate study, I conducted functional study of cytokinin metabolic genes in soybean, trying to better identify the function of cytokinin in abiotic stresses. Now, I’m a member of Prof. R.J. Neil Emery Research Team at Trent University (http://www.emerylab.com/). Under his supervision, I am focusing my master research on the function of cytokinin and abscisic acid in heavy metal stress response in algae. Hope we can explore more potential function and molecular mechanism of phytohormone in metal tolerance to create effective and environmentally-friendly methods for bioremediation.
