Brief bio: I am passionate about trying to improve the efficiency of photosynthesis as part of efforts to boost the production of food and fuel. After a PhD working on photobiological hydrogen production in green algae, I moved to Cambridge to research the evolution of C4 photosynthesis to Realizing Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency (RIPE) project and am currently part of efforts to speed up relaxation of photoprotection in crops such as soybean, cowpea and corn.
