Cun-Ying Duan, co-first author of Arabidopsis KETCH1 is critical for the nuclear accumulation of ribosomal proteins and gametogenesis

Brief bio: In 2016, I joined the laboratory of Prof. Yan Zhang to start my post-graduate research. My M.S. study was focused on plant reproductive biology, specifically the role of IMPORTIN family members in plant sexual reproduction. In the recent study, we reported that an Arabidopsis importin β, KETCH1, is critical for the nuclear accumulation of ribosomal proteins and gametogenesis. Post-graduate life is a fulfilling and happy process. In the future, I hope to continue what I love and make my life meaningful and valuable.

个人简介：2016年我加入到张彦教授的实验室进行研究生工作，在这期间主要参与到实验室植物生殖发育的研究中。我的课题主要集中于核输入蛋白IMPORTIN家族成员在植物有性生殖过程中的功能探究。在最新的一项研究中，我们发现输入蛋白IMPORTIN β家族成员之一KETCH1，调控核糖体蛋白的核积累和配子的形成过程。研究生生活是一个充实又快乐的过程，在未来，我希望继续自己所热爱的，让生命有意义、有价值。
