Brief Bio: In 2018, I joined the research group of Professor Tonglin Mao and Xiangfeng Wang at State Key Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry in China Agricultural University. During my master, I focused on the relation between stomatal movement and plant cytoskeleton. When I started my Ph.D. in CAU, I continued to investigate the detailed functions of cytoskeleton during stomatal movement and the underlying mechanisms. In this paper, we have established the direct connection between the classic ABA signal pathway and cortical microtubule during stomatal movement. Our research reveals the molecular function of microtubule associated protein SPR1 during ABA-induced stomatal closure, and helps to clarify the importance of microtubule cytoskeleton in drought stress.
