Nan Wang: Plant Physiology First Author

Nan Wang, first author of “Kinase CIPK9 integrates glucose and abscisic acid signaling to regulate seed oil metabolism in rapeseed”

Current position: Seeking for a job

Education: PhD from Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, China

Non-scientific Interests: Music, Movie, and Sports

Brief bio:

During postgraduate period, I studied at Rapeseed Heterosis Research and Utilization Group in National Key Laboratory of Crop Genetic Improvement supervised by professor Jinxiong Shen, and my study was focused on CIPK9 regulating in seed oil metabolism in Brassica napus. My scientific interests are in CRISPR/Cas9 biotechnology, oil metabolism, and energy metabolism. In this article, it was reported that CIPK9 played a role in oil metabolism to balance tissue energy homeostasis by mediating the crosstalk between glucose and ABA signaling.
