Education: PhD in Biotechnology, University of Mysore

Brief Bio:  Hailing from a family that owns a farm, I have always been fascinated by plants. I used to wonder about their growth and was eager to learn about them. Later, I obtained PhD in Biotechnology from University of Mysore, for my study on the mechanism of mycotoxin production in maize by pathogenic fungi. To explore more on plant regeneration, I joined Dr. Kalika Prasad’s lab as Postdoctoral Research Associate in the year 2016. Presently, I am working towards understanding the regulatory module controlling innate responses to injury and de novo regeneration in Arabidopsis.
