Brief bio: Katie Murphy is an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow interested in all things maize metabolism. Her PhD work focused on specialized metabolism in maize, specifically the role of diterpenoids in the maize stress response. Her current postdoctoral research at the Danforth Center focuses on the intersection of metabolism and plant phenotypes in maize under heat stress conditions. Katie communicates her work to a general public @Real_Time_Science TikTok and Instagram.
