Current Position: PhD candidate, Dr. Emmanouil Flemetakis lab, Department of Biotechnology, School of Applied Biology and Biotechnology, Agricultural University of Athens

Education: M.S., Microbial Biotechnology, Department of Biology, School of Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; B.S., Biology, Department of Biology, School of Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

Non-scientific Interests: running long distances, dancing, reading

Brief bio: I was interested in Biology since my childhood, and I was lucky enough to become a Biologist. During my master’s degree I started working on microalgae with Dr. Flemetakis and Dr. Roussis, specifically studying oxidative stress in C. reinhardtii with emphasis in Selenium Binding Protein. Recently I began studying several microalgal strains comparing their molecular and biochemical responses to oxidative stress.
