Tim Blomeier, first author of Synthetic switches and regulatory circuits in plants
Current position: PhD Student, Heinrich-Heine-University, Institute of Synthetic Biology & CEPLAS, Düsseldorf, Germany
Education: M. Sc. Biology with a major in Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology (Heinrich-Heine-University, Düsseldorf, Germany)
Non-scientific interests: Basketball, Travelling, Music
Bio: After finishing my bachelor´s study working on Plant-Microbe-Interactions, I joined Matias Zurbriggen´s Lab for my master’s studies working on plant synthetic light signaling pathways. After successfully applying for the Max Planck graduate school (IMPRS), I continued with my PhD-thesis, now focusing on achieving a quantitative understanding of complex light-dependent and phytohormone-regulated plant signaling pathways using mammalian cells as an orthogonal system.
