Brief bio: I initially came to Finland following the music scene, and soon after decided to pursue graduate studies at the University of Helsinki. I completed my Master’s degree in 2013 and am currently working towards my PhD in the lab of Dr. Michael Wrzaczek. My main research interest is how cells sense and respond to various stimuli on a cellular and biochemical level, and upon starting my doctoral studies I directed this focus towards plants. Our current research explores the significance of the cysteine-rich receptor-like kinase CRK2 during stress responses in Arabidopsis thaliana.
