Brief bio: In 2015, I joined the School of Life Sciences of Lanzhou University for my postgraduate work in Professor Yun Xiang’s laboratory. During the Master’s and Doctor’s period, I was mainly engaged in the research on the Arabidopsis thaliana pollen tube growth. In this study, we demonstrated that the P4-ATPase ALA3 in the Arabidopsis pollen tube is involved in the regulation of the polar distribution of phosphatidylserine (PS), and PS participates in the polar growth of the pollen tube by regulating the polar localization of some Rab GTPases. The current research project is of full interest and excitement, and I expect to make more improvement and harvest its fruits soon.
