Brief bio: I am interested in the interaction between plant and phytophagous insect. I started my research in this area since I became a graduate student of Professor Wang Zhenying in 2011. During my Master’s course, I studied the relationship between maize stalk strength and Asian corn borer larval injury. Then I have been researching maize induced resistance to Asian corn borer during my PhD and postdoctoral study since 2014. Now I still worked in the Institute of Plant Protection, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences as an associate professor. I look forward to gaining more knowledge on understanding how maize defend herbivorous pests, such as Asian corn borer, fall armyworm. I hope to continue this journey in the foreseeable future.
