Brief bio: The plant-insect interaction was something I was interested and curious to understand when I started working as a Master student in the Grbic lab. My research project involved the study of spider mites as a crop pest, with focus on the study of molecular and genetic mechanisms associated with spider mites’ detoxification process, as well as the potential use of plants’ defensive compounds as bio-pesticides.
