    Hi Subodh

As a Marie Curie fellow how important do you feel the secondment is while applying? Or the project itself matters more?

  • Hi, I am Sibaji Sanyal, a Postdoctoral researcher from Jawaharlal Nehru University India. I am a plant Biologist and I love to understand how plants perceive stimuli. I know that plants are extremely intelligent and can store information (my own thoughts) and can respond to the known stimuli in a better way. I am currently trying to understand how the stimuli perception pathways have evolved from algae to present day plants.

Besides my research I love learning new languages and photography (just picked up the hobby). I am always up for a discussion on the future of science in general and plant science in particular. I tweet at @sibajisanyal. Feel free to engage. Prost!!!!

  • Yes the Calcium signalling pathway is considered involved in plant memory (Anthony Trewavas was the main proponent of the idea).

Even I tend to believe it.
