Opportunity to attend the MANRRS’ 37th Annual Conference and Career Expo
The NSF-funded LEAPS: RCN: ROOT & SHOOT (Rooting Out Oppression Together and SHaring Our Outcomes Transparently) aims to transform plant science to become more equitable and inclusive. Part of this mission involves building strong connections with organizations that support people of marginalized identities.
The ROOT & SHOOT RCN has funds to support two student/early career scientists to attend MANRRS’ 37th Annual Conference and Career Expo April 12-16, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Volunteers are asked to spend time staffing the ROOT & SHOOT booth, answering questions about the RCN, the affiliated professional societies, and sharing opportunities to get involved.
ROOT & SHOOT will cover travel, lodging, meals, and other allowable expenses affiliated with attending the conference, as well as provide a stipend for the volunteer’s time. All funds will be provided on a reimbursement basis.

The deadline to apply for this opportunity is Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Participants will be informed if they are selected the week of February 20.
