Brief bio: My current academic position is that of postdoc with a national scholarship ‘Juan de la Cierva’ in the Department of Crop and Forest Sciences, University of Lleida. Before that, I made a postdoc as a consultant for CIMMYT (Center for Breeding Maize and Wheat) in a project (Crop Efficiency Canopy program) for collaboration with the Crop Science department of Bayer (05/2016-Present). I was also hired by the University of Barcelona as a part-time Associate Professor in the Department of Plant Physiology (09/2012 to the 05/2018). Impartition of the practices of the subject in Plant Physiology, Plant Physiology, Cell Cultures and Biology II to students of first, second, third and fourth degree of Biology, Biotechnology and Biochemistry. Imparting classes at the University of Experience in the course of ‘Biology: the human being in front of Biodiversity’ in the Faculty of Biology of the University of Barcelona. The renewal of the contract is annual and automatic.
During the PhD I collaborated with the Maize and Wheat Improvement Research Center (CIMMYT) in Obregón, (Mexico) within the framework of the Global Wheat Program (March-April 2012 and 2013). I completed the Master of Forest Sciences and Ecology in the specialty in Tropical and International Ecology at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in Germany, where I carried out several collaborations with projects at La Selva Biological Station, in Costa Rica (Project CARBONO / CYCLES), in Visayas State University of Philippines, in the Philippine Islands and in the Smithsonian Research Institute in Panama (September 2007 to February 2010). I studied Forestry Technical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain (September 2004 to September 2007).
