Self Reflection: A Leadership and Management series by early-career plant scientists

Science is a rewarding career, but challenges those who pursue it because the road to a permanent position is long and fragmented. Not surprisingly, many of the early-career researchers we’ve spoken to say they’d like to see more advice and resources to help them navigate their career path. With this in mind, we’ve started a blog series, “Self Reflection” that focuses on the career skills and career navigation and will have posts twice a month.

Today’s post, by Amey Redkar, starts us off with a discussion of DOs and DONTs for your CV. Future topics will include how to be an effective mentor (or mentee), negotiating your next position, job hunting tips and many more.
