Brief Bio: To be an agriculturist as well as a biochemist, I was interested to learn how the plant responds to the external stimulus. This interest led me to join in the laboratory of Bio-functional Chemistry of Professor Dr. Yoshiyuki Murata, Okayama University, Japan as a Monbukagukusho scholar for the Ph.D. course in 2014. During my Ph.D., I worked on guard cell hormone signaling (e. g., ABA, SA) in plants. A pair of guard cells forms stomata that play critical roles in the adaptation of plants to the stresses.  After completing my Ph.D. in 2017, I started my job at a public university in Bangladesh. My research goal is to understand how plants sense and respond to environmental stimuli and to develop new technologies that can be applied to sustainable food production.
